A landmark station for the Grand Paris Express
The CAP consortium (VINCI Construction/Spie Batignolles) has been awarded the T2D civil engineering work package for Line 15 South of the Grand Paris Express, worth €156 million.
This worksite includes civil engineering work in the area before Noisy-Champs station and the station itself, which is a landmark on the future transport network due to its strategic position (at the intersection of RER A, line 15, line 16 and line 11).
The works mainly involve construction of Noisy-Champs station, including the station’s canopy, various metal footbridges, glazed facades, a road bridge spanning the RER A tracks and an underpass before arriving at Noisy-Champs station.
Sixense watches over RER A
Sixense were awarded all of the monitoring work in the area in front of the station and the station itself (apart from the manual monitoring of convergences) and integration of all of the project’s monitoring data.
Sixense were also involved in carrying out the preliminary studies and preparing the noise files.
The monitoring work particularly includes Cyclops automated topographic monitoring of RER A adjacent to the project, automated structural monitoring of the neighbouring structures and road impacted by the works, structural monitoring of the works under construction (vibrating wire extensometers welded to struts and inclinometers in the diaphragm wall), acoustic and vibration monitoring of the impact of the work as well as remote data acquisition and processing using the Geoscope platform.
